Cameron Highlands – a popular vacation spot known for its rolling hills and cool weather, is home to the prestigious Cameron Ultra or CULTRA®. The scenic ultra-trail race is offering a variety of distances from the challenging 100km to the 4km course dedicated to junior racers. CULTRA® offers participants a mix of breath-taking views, challenging hills, and a gruelling test in fitness by running in low climate weather, and has attracted upwards of 40 nationalities every year to take part in the race. Participating in the event is truly one of a kind experience that has transformed many trail running experiences and is constantly growing as one of the highly sought-after events in the trail running community.

Age Categories & Cutoff Time

Open: minimum age is 18 years old on the 19 July 2025
Veteran: minimum age is 40 years old on the 19 July 2025
Senior Veteran: minimum age is 50 years old on the 19 July 2025
U18: must be between 16 and 17 years old on the 19 July 2025
U16: must be between 13 and 15 years old on the 19 July 2025
U13: must be between 8 and 12 years old on the 19 July 2025 with guardian
Entry Requirement

No prior race completion is required to participate any of the category

However, all participant must get medical clearance from a doctor/GP by using a template available for download here.

Indemnity form is required to be filled and signed by all participant.

Requirement on item 2 and 3 must be complied before the race pack can be released.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

Registration is available via Checkpointspot (CPS) and Howei portal only.
-
We encourage you to create a profile in the portal for faster registration experience.
-
Please ensure your personal details are entered accurately to avoid any issue during the race pack collection or any other event related purpose that require your personal info.
-
Some of your personal info such as name, date of birth, nationality and race result will be shared with external party such as UTMB, ITRA and MULC for qualifying and championship processing. Same set of info might be shared with the authorities and insurance companies for Group Personal Accident policy issuance.

There is no pre-requisite of completing any other trail running race to participate in CULTRA. It is participant responsibility to ensure you are physically fit to complete the distance you have registered, monitor your health during the race, including knowing when to withdraw from the race if you are no longer able to continue.
WITHDRAWALS
-
If you unable to participate in the event for any reason, entry fee is non-refundable for withdrawals initiated by the participant.

Please take note of the event schedule, it’s your responsibility to ensure plan ahead to attend the Race Pack Collection during the specified time and compete in the race. Any request for special arrangement will not be entertained.

If you decide to withdraw prior to the race, kindly inform us at cultra@boltevents.asia with subject “Withdrawal notification” and provide your Registration ID.

If you need to withdraw during the race, kindly notify the Marshal or Checkpoint Crew on duty.
UPGRADE/DOWNGRADE
-
Registered participant can upgrade or downgrade the distance, subject to slot availability during the Marketplace
-
Deadline to complete the process is 3rd May 2025.

Upgrade processing fee is Difference of the Fee + Admin Fee + RM20 Processing Fee

Downgrade processing fee is RM20
SLOT TRANSFER
-
Registered participant can transfer their slot to someone else during the Marketplace
-
Transfer is allowed within the same distance only. It’s not possible to transfer to someone else wanting to do different distance.
-
No changes to the tshirt size and slippers size.
-
Processing fee is RM20
-
Deadline to complete the process is 30th June 2025.
DEFERRALS
No deferral option is available
GENERAL RULES
-
You must attach a complete Indemnity Form, Mandatory Items Declaration Form and Medical Clearance Form during the Race Pack Collection.
-
Wave flag-off may be implemented if the total registration for one particular distance is over the limit.
-
Runners will be grouped into the wave based on the ITRA Index point and/or sort by date of registration.
-
The wave interval is 10min and will be counted in the gun-time. No added time to the checkpoint COT as well as the overall COT.
-
You must complete the race entirely on foot with no external assistance or pacer.
-
You must comply with the event mandatory items requirement or else, it may result to disqualification or penalty.
-
It’s forbidden to be accompanied along the race course by anyone other than another registered participant during the race and use of, will result in my disqualification.
-
Your race bib must be visible to event crew at all times during the race. It should be worn on the outside of your clothing on the front of your body over your belly or chest, not at your back, on your pant or any other fancy location on your body.
-
You must conduct yourself in a sporting, professional and cautious manner during the participation in the event and understand that you may be disqualified if do not do so.
-
You acknowledge that your registration is personal to you, and it’s not transferable to other person without the stated process above.
-
You agree to retire immediately from the event if ordered to do so by the Event Organisers, crews or marshal, or any government official.
-
You accept full liability for any medical expenses incurred because of training for and/or participating in the Event.
-
You will be immediately disqualified from the Event if you found to have intentionally shortened the route of the Event.
-
You will be immediately disqualified from the Event if you found to be deliberately littering the course
-
You will comply to the event cut off times which require runner to check out the checkpoint before the COT and the decisions related to it by the Event organisers or crews
-
You accept that the event organisers reserve the right to amend the event format or cancel the Event due to health and safety reasons, including storm, rain, inclement weather, winds or any other act of God conditions. You accept that your Entry fee shall be non-refundable in this circumstance as costs have already been incurred.

You accept that the Event Organisers will do their utmost to provide me with a finish time following my completion of the Event, however, they will not be held responsible for any computer result anomalies.

You agree that you should only be withdrawing from the Event at a pre-defined checkpoint. It is not the Event Organisers responsibility to pick up a runner at any point of the race course unless you are medically unfit.

You agree to notify the timing officials at the race site of your withdrawal from the race. This will ensure all participants who are registered and pull out of the race are accounted for, allowing for the accurate and safe running of the event.

You accept that all decisions and rulings by the Event Organisers, its crew or marshal are considered final.
